Thanked: 1I highly recommend the Mesa Boogie 400+ or anything Ampeg makes with tubes. Very warm tone and a ton of power.

not a huge fan of Ampeg. They are great amps and all but that's just not my sound. I like more punch and pop you know? that's why i like the Hartke.

I use a SVT4 Pro right now, love the fat tubey sounds, that and its been kickin for like 14 years! Also have a Mesa 2x15 cab that I've had forever and love. Always tried to get that pop clank punch sounds more out of bass/strings/playing style. Personal preference though. If you like the Hartke and Line 6 stuff you might want to check out the Gallien-Krueger heads. They have a similar sound, but more adjustable IMO and good quality. Also very reasonable, especially used, and there are plenty floating around. Always thought the Line 6 stuff was kinda overpriced for what it is, and never had a need for all the built in effects which is mainly what your paying for.

Gallien-Krueger heads are fantastic! I forgot about them. I will have to look at them again. I would be getting the line6 head and cab for a combined ~$500 which i think is darn good for them. But retail I do think that they are over priced. But right now a bass amp is pretty low on my priority list of things i need to buy (tires for the wife's car, washing machine, dryer, dovo razor ...)

Lol, right there with you man. Need to shoes on me and the wifeys car, trip to Disney for the little one this summer, did I mention I owe taxes, crap! I got a W&D off Craigslist recently, great pair for like $200! Might be worth a shot if your somewhat handy, and ok with used stuff.
Thats good if you can get a Line for that, their retail is rediculous though. GK heads seem to last forever though, I don't recall seeing too much older Line 6 stuff for sale. I can remember when they first started making amps though... so their not that old ... right? lol

I don't there line 6 is very old. That whole vibrating fusion thing never made much sense to me. I want control over my blade(s) not vibration. Although you can't get much shorter strokes then from a vibrating razor. (I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere but I'm trying to keep it clean here - trying)

Lol I have a Dovo coming from SRD already if you missed that part (I know we got off on a tangent here). Vibrating razor is/soon to be was a Gillette Mach 350000000. The title was just to explain that I was lots and going in the wrong direction with my shaving direction, and getting sick of the newest razor gimmick. Hopefully my new SR with fix all that

It actually feels like it has a lot less pull when the vibrate thing is on to tell you the truth. But just a gimmick most likely to cover over the fact that the razor is crap. Never noticed not having less control, it doesn't move around like a jack hammer or anything, just buzzs a little bit.
