Welcome aboard. Typically, a vintage blade would be a great starter, but Lynn has been sellin' dem round point (Boker) King Cutters for a song. Makes me wanna dust off the project bench and finally give its spike point brother the proper resto that it deserves.. I'm still kicking myself in the arse over selling the first one I came across. One of the top shavers I've ever used and I've used quite a few

Thanked: 0I didn't know what the Boker King Cutters was so had a look through Google. Looks beautiful but I don't see them being sold by Lynn? Boker site selling them for $149. It quotes "The blade is made of a special alloy, containing silver, for improved cutting capabilities". Any idea how this compares to carbon or stainless steel?

Thanked: 0Thanks FiReStaRT! Not sure why I didn't see it under the straight razors. Looks like a potentially good starter razor. Reasonablly priced and appears very good quality. It's on the list.

No worries.. I consider that price to be a steal especially since it includes $20ish honing service.. If I wasn't budgeting for gun purchases (yeah, I am from Toronto, Ontario.. At least I'm not from Quebec ) and didn't have a restoration King Cutter (in spike point) on the project bench, I'd pick one up without hesitation.
