I am pretty sure, not positive, that Bolton is the city where the retailer had his store. Bolton, from the looks of the map, is near Manchester. Always liked blades with thumb notches.

    Hello Andy,

Just thought you'd like to know that another J Duckworth & Sons, Bolton, razor has come to light:-

I collect old items (not specifically razors) from Wigan, but when I saw this one from Bolton which is only a few miles away, I put a bid on it....

Whilst trying to research Duckworth & Sons, I came upon a reference to an old woodsaw:-

The Restoration of a 14" Tenon Saw #1: Identification, Historical Evidence and a Vivid Imagination - by Brit @ LumberJocks.com ~ woodworking community

It's interesting that the saw is signed "W Tyzack Sons & Turner" and "Made for J Duckworth Bolton"

I understand that Tyzack's made razors too, so perhaps yours is one of them ?

Could be that mine is too ?

    Kind regards,

    Andy
