Thanked: 0Hello From Nashville
I finally got the straight razor I bought on eBay. Unfortunately, contrary to the Seller's description, it was not professional honed by Lynn Abrams, at least not recently. I tried using it after a hot shower last night, and it wouldn't cut my whiskers. I tried cutting a piece of paper to see if it was sharp and maybe I just wasn't using it correctly on my face, but it wouldn't cut the paper without forcing it down and ripping the paper. Anyone have any suggestions on where to send it to get it sharpened?

I highly recommend Lynn or Max Sprecher. I have razors from both of them, and when they say "shave ready," they mean it!

Hello and welcome, great place for info here. As far as getting your razor honed if you check out the "member services" in the classifieds there is good selection of folks who hone razors, any one of them should do fine.
