    Default Hello from Waterloo, ON

I started wet shaving again about 2 years ago, mostly just on weekends. After a some tweaking my kit consists of the following:

Merkur 38C, Barber-Pole Handle, Safety Razor in Matte Chrome
    Feather Double-Edge Safety Razor Blades
Edwin Jagger Best Badger Shaving Brush
    Proraso Pre-Shave Cream
Geo. F. Trumper Sandalwood shaving soap
    MÜHLE porcelain shaving mug
The Art of Shaving Sandalwood After-Shave Balm

I'd given up on straight razor shaving after a bad experience with a Dovo Shavette, but I'm now awaiting delivery of a "site unseen" straight razor from Whipped Dog so I can start practising with a "real" razor.

I too had a difficult time with a shavette. Straights are great! Welcome to the forum.

Waterloo eh. Just down the road from you in Baden. I actually started with a parker shavette. When I finally got a real straight, the shave was way better. Maybe I'll see you around.
Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....
