New guy on scene!
So, I am from Ontario Canada, and I love things that go bang, are sharp, or able to send arrows flying really fast down range.
My wife got me an early Christmas gift, a Straight razor set. So I thought that I should poke around here and gain new knowledge and advice.
The set my wife has picked out (from, Classic Edge Shaving, in Toronto) for me consists of:
-Dovo C-mon Straight Razor that does come "shave ready"
-1 1/2''W x 18''L Russian leather strop
-Pure Badger shaving brush with stand
-Shavex Alum Block
-Col Conk Cake soap
-Stainless shaving bowl
-some maintenance supplies for the blade
My wife says that I have to at least shave once with it, to see if I enjoy it, before I order a "cooler" razor. I already have several picked out (some of which cost more then my first car!) .
I now lay myself at the mercy of the pro's I will meet along my journey through this forum.
MajorSights~
P.S.~ I will do my best to use the search function and NOT ask anything that would probably come up every week.

Thanked: 993Welcome to the forum. Where in Ontario are you? The Toronto and area boys get together about every three months or so to look at razors, do some trading, and have a few wobbly pops.
Guys - let me get set up in the new place and I'll have you all up to Brooklin to party in the new and much larger shop!

I am up Peterborough direction. I was looking at coming down to T-dot to throw a bachelor party sometime this coming summer with a "Manly Man" theme. Hair cut/wet shave package at Truefitt and Hill, Cigar bar, whiskey bar, ahem... "exotic" dancers at more upscale joint.
