Hello from a new straight razor shaver
Just wanted to say hello and that I really enjoy visiting this site, and learn something new everytime that makes the next shave that much better. I'm being coached by my son who recently returned home from Afghanistan and am only 6 shaves into my straight razor career. Some shaves are better than others (today's was the worst yet) but hope that I will get better over time. I've attached a photo of my new razor (Dovo 5/8).
Thanks
John

Thanked: 3228Hi and welcome to the forum. It is a long learning curve and as you go along it the shaves will get better and with that more consistent too. Been at it less than a year and still manage to get a sub par shave on occasion. If you get stumped on something just ask here.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. just finished shave #7 and it went ok. Still having trouble under the nose and the chin area but that will eventually be better once i'm a biy more comfortable i think. And I'm in St. catharines and would love to meet up with fellow shavers.
Thanks and I hope that everyine has a very happy new year.
