Thanked: 275Yup, House of Knives (several locations) and Momentum Grooming, on Burrard St near Davie.
Momentum Grooming has quite a bit of Truefitt and Hill soaps/ creams / etc. The T&H hard soap is the best thing I have, nicer than Tabac and MWF, but it's around $20 per puck.
I found some vintage straight razors at one booth at the Terminal Avenue flea market. But I don't know of any reliable local source.
But we _do_ have a Lee Valley store, and they stock stones, diamond plates, and other goodies for honing. And Shopper's Drug Mart has real shaving soap.
. Charles. . . . . Mindful shaving, for a better world.

Thanked: 0Hey Guys, I'm still here and I will update you on the straight razor when it arrives. I guess Larry at whipped dog got swarmed with orders over the last few weeks and is experiencing a bit of a delay. In the meantime I have been working on getting my pre/post shave routine down. Yesterday I used the cheap Williams mug soap from the grocery store, great stuff in my opinion, foamed up nice, although I did fine my safety razor wasn't gliding as smoothly as it does with the Proraso. After 2 passes WTG I rinsed my face with cold water and slapped on some aqua velva ice blue, pretty nice stuff, doesn't smell as good as old spice but it doesn't dry my face out as much either. I had about a 10 minute sustained chill on my face afterwards. pretty refreshing. Do you guys have any low cost shaving supplies you like to use?

I like to get my Proraso at the grota di fromaggio on Commercial Drive, they have the lowest prices I have seen
