Lather your face and shave it. Lather your neck next and shave that. That is what I am doing until I can shave at a normal speed. Also bought Nieva After Shave Balm.Soothing and makes the red go away :-) I also discovered if I dont stretch my skin I get some razor burn, and too much angle = razor burn as well. Using my left hand is a task for me !

You can get an el-cheapo boar brush at Coles for about five bucks until your badger turns up - not flash but works OK for a while
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

G'day and welcome. Learning to shave with a straight razor is a fun process. It does take time but it is and enjoyable journey. Just take your time. Relax and savour the experience.

Just expect it to moult more than a mongrel dog. It's good enough to get you out of trouble, but you'll be wanting to get a better one as soon as you can afford it.

There is no-one that could answer that question. No one has ever ever ever used a basting brush. Ever!

I did see here a while ago a guy used a ferret...There were photos too...

Yes, but he also said it was a little smelly using his ferret as a brush...Though it was a damn cute looking brush. I wish we could have ferrets here but they have laws against it...Should have laws against cats instead I reckon.
