A Wisconsin Hello
Good Evening,
I have finally taken the plunge from lurker to member. I was introduced to the world of DE shaving a little over two year's ago and loved the fact that I could get a smooth shave without hellfire overtaking my neck...I haven't looked back. Fast forward to this past November, I inherited two razors when my grandfather passed, a Genco Henry's XX and a Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett. After asking my father about these razors, he told me that my grandpa hadn't used them since the '60's. They are in decent shape with minimal rust, but will need some TLC before use. I decided to treat myself to a Dovo for my birthday to start my straight career with and just received it with today's mail...needless to say I have been watching every video and reading all I can and am anxious to start using the razor soon...and eventually restoring my grandfather's old razors.
Just wanted to formally say hi!
Cheers!

Thanked: 1Welcome to straight razor place, I dont live too far from you. I started the same way just lurking around and now I have added to and started several threads. I won't go back to disposable razors, only straights and DE razors for me. It is quite addicting, I now compete with my wife for bathroom time.
