It's their Bismarck model and I can't wait to use it... But yeah, nice to know theres others (read:born/bred ) from brissy on here too! Its great to be aboard! And I'll keep the drool thing in mind too... Might pay to keep some detol wipes handy!! Though I think most of it would be from me!!
I'll read that as 'living'. I'm neither Brisbane born or bred, but I know what you mean .

    G'Day Hankus and welcome.

It's good to have my comuter back up and running - I've soooooo missed this place (more so the people in it....hehehehe)

I'm out west a bit and, if there is anything I can do to help you, just PM me.

FWIW, I'd love to rub your Bismark on my rocks........

I've honed up quite a few of the new ones and would love to compare the feel of an older one.

Glad to have you on board.

That's sounds fantastic and thanks so much for the great welcome! Redbank isn't far from me at all really - I'm just over at Oxley. I'd love to get your opinion on the Bismark for sure - my girlfriend bought it for me as a gift and she thinks she did a bad job because I haven't used it yet!! I explained it to her but I don't wanna discourage her from getting me razors/shaving products as she was eyeing off a Hart Steel #45 (at least I think it's that model - the all black one) for my birthday coming up!!! But any info you guys are happy to share will be gladly lapped up!! I just finished making some scales to replace some broken ones on an old Joseph Elliott's straight. Should be nice once I get it all together - just got to form a wedge and deciding whether to pin, micro bolt or use knife fasteners... The scales are a quilted maple i think and almost amber in colour so it should be an attractive little piece in the end finders x'd!! Love to get your opinion on it when I'm done if you don't mind???

LOL yeah - living here is just as good in my book! Been abroad once or twice but once this lil town gets in your blood it's hard to leave for good!

Hankus, watch the Downunder thread for a planned up coming "get together" in Brissy late May!

    Should be good

Just returned from walking the dog with the sky lit up by lightning, no wind and HOT...

I will do! It'd be great to meet some of the blokes on here in Brisbane for sure! I'm up in Townsville for work on Monday - seriously can't wait to get out of this rain for a few days!!! Was in Maryborough last weekend and got stuck there for a few extra days when all the roads got cut - hasn't stopped since forgot what the sun looks like!!!
