Thanked: 2Noob Checking In
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to drop a quick line and say Hi! It has been many years since I shaved with a straight. Back when I was starting out, my Dad bought me a straight and told me that it would be the last razor that I would ever need. I went through the usual learning curve but got it down pretty good. Then I went into the military and was told that I could not have a straight in the barracks, so box it up and send it home. Fast forward 20 years and now I am shaving my head as well as my face but am very unhappy with the new fangled razors that I am using. I give lots of thought to just going back to a straight but having to go through that learning curve on my head, I just wasn't there yet. I did go and buy a couple of double edged razors and have been using them for many years now. The "itch" to use a straight again just hasn't left me though. At some point soon I will need to get myself a straight and get back to real shaving. It's funny how life tends to go full circle.

I guess that is the full circle in a nut shell.
Welcome to the forum, and the door back to straights is wide open.
P.S. from what I have read the head is easier than the face so the learning curve for it should be much shorter,
I am sure the pro's/experienced will chime in shortly with more and better words on that.Last edited by pfries; 03-03-2013 at 04:18 PM.
