Question Advice about purchasing a straight razor case/box

I have 4 straight razors and 2 more coming in a few months after Max Sprecher (the restore Master ) gets done with them. I would like to keep them organized.

Can anyone recommend a nice 7-day (or something similar) case or box for a few razors I have acquired. The case/box should be a nice piece of art...I don't want anything cheap (I don't mean $$, I mean material, workmanship, etc...).

Thanks in advance for your advice,
    -Robert

I know that TI makes boxes to hold various numbers of razors but they are expensive. Classic has them on their site.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I did see Thiers Issard boxes...they are very nice with a nice price tag to go with it. I did find two sites that sell the burl version (with slightly different interior):

    1. Thiers-Issard Razor Box For 7 Razors Deluxe Elm Burl: Rasage Poulin Fine Wet Shaving Supplies : Calgary, Alberta, Canada

    2. Thiers Issard Empty Deluxe Elm Burl Box for 7 Razors Handmade France - Knifecenter.com

The one from Classic Shaving is nice , but I am not sure if I like the blue interior...also, since I am in CA, I will end up paying the ridiculous 9.75% tax...Ouuchhh!!

    I'll keep looking

I bought an old Gerstner machinist's tool chest like this one here (item # 150432880851) for about half of what this fellow is asking for his. Stores them safe and dry. Not a display case but very effective for storing a lot of razors safely. Keep an eye out on ebay and you may be able to get one for around a hundred bucks as I did.

    Wink

    Hi all,
I ended up purchasing the Tiers Issard Elm Burl...but not the one Henry recommended from Classic Shaving (sorry Henry...just didn't like the price and the blue interior). What I bought is the following:

    http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/st...ml?s=TILUXELM7

Did I stop there??...of course not . To add fuel to the fire
, I also added a 7/8" Thiers Issard Eagle Brand Straight Razor with Red Staminawood Handle

Hmmm...I have to start exercising some self-control, otherwise I may end up with an AD (acquisition disorder) .

    Thanks guys,
    -Robert
