    Mine is a 1.5. From what I gather the pieces are made separately, dried separately then glazed and fired together so that they fuse together and come out as one. I use the small AOS Fine Badger brush, so a "normal" brush will be a bit bigger in the bowl. It is great, I usually fill with hot water with my brush soaking in the spout while showering, then drain and refill for shaving. I like the boiling water idea and will be using a boiling water refill for my next shave.

    Edit: Be sure to have her add the dribble port. Really makes adding water to the lather much easier. She does do custom colors. She sent me pics of her glazes and I had her do it this way. From what I've heard the webbing doesn't add much to the lather building. Lather explodes in mine, when I ordered mine it was extra for the webbing. I love the spiraled look so IMO order whichever is most appealing to your eye.
