I finally got my DB scuttle today! I just wanted to share with you all. Sorry about the sideways picture, I don't know how to change it.

Thanks for that picture that is the first one I have seen with a brush in it, kind of puts the size in perspective. Is that the original or 1.5?
How are you guys liking these? Any complaints or concerns?
I have been researching scuttles and decided Dirty Bird is where I am getting mine. I was thinking of going with the web ridges. Does she do custom colors? I didnt see the colors in the pics that Redcane and guthriemt posted on the site.

Oh yea one other question. I cant tell from the pics but do the bowls separate or are they "fused" together?

They don't separate, at least mine doesn't.
I don't use mine often, but sheesh, when I do it's wonderful. I totally submerge mine in hot tap water, then empty, add boiling water to the reservoir, put the tip of the brush in the spout, and then dash of soap to the scuttle, and swirl away for some awe inspiring hot lather! That's a weekend shave parade for me....have yet to give my MDC a spin in the scuttle, and I can already tell it will be a shave to remember.
Scuttle's are the old fashioned hot lather machines!

Thanked: 129I've had my DB for at least 4 years now, absolutely superb. I went for the largest one and the inner circle type ridges which seem to work well producing lather. Also bought the matching bowl which I use mostly in summer. Both were packaged really well and made it to the UK. Every time I use it I think how neat to own something that's handmade and therefore unique. I initially worried about the bowl and jug being one but this isn't a problem.
