I think a dedicated area in your walk in closet that is for displaying your razors would be cool. I wouldn't keep my collection in the bathroom. There is too much humidity there. Good blocking for hanging a strop is a plan. enough are beside the mirror for small shelves for soap and bottles perhaps, or some custom cabinets.

I'd be thinking good lighting and a quality mirror fixed to the wall but can be moved about......then everything made out of rubber..rubber faucets, rubber sinks, super plush carpeting.....

My bath has double sink and separate door to the John and shower so it's actually separate keeping humidity down in sink area. No foggy mirror ;-)

Actually we finished construction and started with all the interior this past week. I can tell you what I'm planning, I'll follow up in 3-4 months, after I moved in and gave it a test run, to say if it worked...
The plan is: a huge window for light and ventilation, 2 sinks with mine by the wall, with built in shelving on the wall to right of the sink. One of the shelves will be pattern cut to accommodate hung brushes. The rest will hold my soaps and aftershaves. A big, well lit mirror+an adjustable wall mounted mirror. A reinforced wall hanger will hold my strops. I'm not planning on storing my blades in the bathroom. Now is exactly the time to tell me what I forgot...

Put a drain in the floor for those little nicks If haven't already configure the bathroom so later on if necessary you can access the tub and shower or whatever fixtures you have through a linen closet or some other access area. when I built this house I put the linen closet at the end of the tub and shower and put an access door inside the closet. came in handy since now I'm remodeling the bathroom.

Well I'm all about the sink area. It's nice to have deluxe faucets and sink bowl in my opinion. I would start with a fancy bowl like Mexican or Italian painted style bowls. And faucets with nice Victorian handles on'em. Also the mirror is important. A nice wood framed mirror and also a smaller swing arm mirror for those vanity attacks. and light fixtures for me would be old school Victorian looking wall and tabletop. also I'm into wood, wood and more wood........but that's me and just giving my opinion. This is your kingdom not mine.

Install under mount sinks. It eliminates the edge between sink and counter top where the grunge wants to collect. Just wipe down the tops into the sink.

The hidden drawer idea is nice but WILL require custom cabinetry to do it. No pre-fabs or "semi customs" are going to have that... Interview well, ask for references, expect a BIG BILL.
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

Hmm, i like nightblades suggestions, i would add:
Anti fog mirrors, i have used but dont have them,
A large amount of bench space around the sink,
As much natural light as possible,
A good source of man made light that wont cast too many shadows on your face.

You guys are fancy. I was thinking a door that opens to a path through the forest that leads down to the creek. I nice mirror hanging on a tree :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

That'd be nice... maybe one in the barn too. Lol

My jack and Jill sinks are one piece with the counter. No under or over mounting. Cleans up super nice, though I don't clean often...
I still haven't got around to shelves or cabinets yet. Just the vanity.
