Default Razor Rack / Razor Storage Ideas.

    Hello,

I am looking for ideas to use to create a rack/holder/storage solution that will help with keeping my razors "aired" out. Currently, I keep them in a drawer to keep Mrs. WestSlope happy, but I think it's time to "let the dogs out" and an attractive display may be the trick.

    Thanks,

    Dave

You may try letting her help you pick out a razor stand.....something that 'goes with" the rest of the room. If she is into re-purposing, I'm sure you guys can come up with something.

I bought an old pipe rack at a flea market, stripped it of its stain, and repainted it white (to match my shave shelf), then glazed it so it could withstand the humidity of my bathroom.

Just make sure it has the height to accomodate straights!

4 Years ago I took an early 1900's Ball Jar and secured a modified tooth brush holder into it. In the bottom of the jar is descant crystals which absorb moisture. This stays in the Master Bathroom and to this day I have had zero rust on the razors kept in there.

I jump on these threads about storage/display because I'm still looking for something.
I think I can do better than these Plexiglas sheets but for now this keeps the razors up and out of the way.
The other advantage is easy access to any single razor without disturbing the rest.
I have been looking for small discreet support brackets instead of the tacky elastic thread.
Dave, I too am receptive to any and all suggestions,.....Hint, hint, nudge, nudge......

Here are a couple I threw together. More to come eventually. The DE stand could be adjusted for SR. Name: De Stand.JPG

This is an often discussed topic...lots of info in the archives if you search on razor case, razor rack or razor storage.

I use a fountain pen case. Fountain pen storage cases come in many different capacities. Usually have a see through top to gaze up your herd and don't require anything but some cash for talent.
