I drilled them out with a hole cutter then used a router to round all the edges, then hand sanded to get some burn marks out. I don't like exposed razors all that much either but they are my daily shavers(only shavers haha) so they get used and inspected regularly

Here's my new razor stand, and believe me for somebody that's all thumbs like I am this IS an accomplishment. Found some oak slabs at Lowe's Hardware and put it together.

I have a stand Mastershake made for me but I didn't want to expose that one to the steamy bathroom conditions so I made one to put there.

Actually I found a stand I wanted to buy at Etsy but the brush opening was too small for the brush handles I use. I asked him if he could enlarge the hole for me and he never got back to me, so I got this bright idea to try and make my own. It's functional for me and I like the color and texture that the pre-stain, stain, and varnish added to the wood. I'm thinking of making a big one for the brushes and razors that I store in bulk.

I need to get off my butt and make a stand. Very nice
