@MattCb i have orders my ceramics in gloss black, but there are some other colors (white, satin black and some light colors yellow, green)

@andrewJM, i am not familiar with a scuttle, but sounds good

@ earcutter, that is not a problem , please post some picture if its done so i can steel perhaps some feature from yours

a little update,

my first 3d print is in.
i'm prety happy about the fit of the blades, all of them fit inside.
also the slot at the bottom works as intended, just one slide out, only for the thin wrapper sometimes two slide out but i can life with that.
it still needs a lit and i will be making some new mounting bracket, not happy how it is mounted.





but this is not what i am most currious about, i want my shaving bowl!

The only thing I would recommend is being careful with the mounting in cabinet holes. Not all manufacturers use the same dimensions. They are generally pretty close though. Maybe only using the top hole with a tapering screw hole similar to a drywall mount to hold it in place. The ceramic bowl idea is awesome though and I can't wait to see the finished product and maybe a demonstration video!

Some double faced tape might work to secure it.

Maybe a flat spring would add pressure that would allow only one pack to be removed at the time.

I see your point, but i have purposely chosen to use two pins so that i dont have to use any tools, and "damaging" the panel by screwing a screw in.
The hole pattern for furniture is actually prety fixed due to the drilling machines they use. All hole pattern are spaced into a 32mm matrix.
All the hinges and drawerslides for furniture are also design based on this system.


@SS502MC, i don't think a spring is needed the blades themself are quitte springy and compressable, but adding pressure to it does help for removing a blade.

The shipping date for the bowl is set july the 10th ( so 6 more days, up to now they have always kept there shipping date )

i would like to see if anyone else has made using 3dprinting, i have seen some other beautiful home made stuff on this forum.
this bring allot of ideas for me, and getting new ones every day (Currently working on a grip to change a blue beard revenge shavette into a non folding shavette)

I have a set of scales in process from a 3D printer. They are nothing fancy but rather replicas for an heirloom Kinfolks Wedge. The originals were cracked and then shattered when I tried to unpin them for repair. The replacements will come with the original logo already engraved.

I have been fascinated with 3D printing for a while now. just wish i had access to one. Those all look like great ideas.

I can't wait to see the bowl, I have never thought of using a 3D printer to make shaving stuff before. That DE blade holder is pretty cool.

Sorry for the long wait
But I received today a package from the 3d printer.( Jeey!!)

At first i thought that package looks a bit small to fit all the things inside.
So i opened it quickly, and after unpacking I noticed that the shaving bowl is waay to small.
I can't even fit my brush inside, i don't know where it has gone wrong. Probably misjudged the dimension I think, I have a tendency to make things too small.

The second thing in the package was my stand for the straight razors. And I am really pleased with the result.
I think it looks great, even better with the straight on it.
I'm thinking about of painting it black, I don't know yet.
