Funny, ever since I got into wet shaving I've been attracted to the pottery sections of every store, even Wal-Mart.

I just use an old coffee cup. Served me well for the past 10 years.

I actually use the bowls from the OP as my soap dishes. I like something large and in charge when lathering, so I bought a giant coffee mug from wally world. It was under five bucks and works great. I also have a scuttle made by Robert Becker for when I am feeling fancy. I would highly suggest his products though I heard that he was done making scuttles? I hope not cause his are great. I always considered adding ridges to my mug what are you using a glue or epoxy?

Locktite Quick set epoxy in two part syringe with mixing tube. It should sit for at least 36 hours to make sure it sets properly. Don't use if bowl is plastic, it lifts off after a while.

    Gentlemen,

I am always amazed at the treasure of bowls one can find in department stores to use for lathering. Back in the days I bowl lathered, my soap and cream closet housed a stack of them. I have never come across one with ridges, though, but then life is full of surprises and you never know.
