We soak our toothbrushes once a week in a cup of peroxide, overnight.

Primarily nostalgia. However, I work in a hospital and have come to appreciate the clean that a disinfectant offers. The jar will also be used for nail clippers, tweezers, scissors, etc. As for the toothbrush, I just change them regularly.

Actually, you can perpetuate it. If you have a cold, flu, or other infection, you should change your toothbrush. You run the risk of reinfecting yourself and dragging out the recovery stage.

I do soak by brush in detergent and then mouthwash once per week. Works for me.

Some stories cant be explained. Sometimes you laugh about them and sometimes you wish you could forget. I will plead the 5th about how I gained that knowledge but it involved an upset (now ex) girlfriend
