Barbicide!
OK, so this is one of those things that I remember from the barber shop when I was a kid. I had no idea what it was for, but it was part of the routine. I just ordered a mid-sized Barbicide jar and some juice so I can sterilize my equipment every day. Maybe not too exciting to most, but it works for me. And it will look awesome on the counter.

Everyday seems a bit much ,, it was used in barber shops because they were doing many different people so it was used between haircuts and shaves ,, I have a jar and use it on new blades coming from who knows where , but other than that it doesn't get used except to look cool in the shave den. Tc

If you are really using Barbicide as it was intended, you have to make a fresh batch EVERY day (or at least every other day). Minnesota, for one, requires a new batch every day.
If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

On the other hand, you could just wipe down you razor with alcohol and put the Barbicide jar on the counter with water and blue food coloring in it.
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

In a personal use setting I think that's overboard unless the chemicals in Barbicide break down and are no longer viable within 24-48 hours. Is this requirement due to the qualities of Barbicide substantially degrading after 24-48 hours after having been diluted with water, or is it intended to limit the potential exposure of body fluids from one person to the next?

Do you disinfect your toothbrush daily, weekly, ever? If you are the only one shaving with the blade, what is the point?
