    But seriously, a quick soak in hot water, squirt of dish soap and soft tooth brush will clean it if you are just removing old soap. The brush dipped in Fliz and scrubbed then wiped with a paper towel and buffed with a microfiber will make it shine like new. Wash the brush in simple green to remove the tarnish from the brush.

    Do be careful with aggressive metal polishes, the plating is thin. White vinegar soak for just a few minutes and tooth brush scrub will remove a lot of hard water scale.

    Disinfect with a 5min soak in Listerine or Barbaside.

    This is what I do for any of my acquisitions and periodically on the ones in my rotation.
    The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.
