    I've used just about everything out there, depends on long term or short, but gun oil is fine, I keep a little bottle of RemOil in the gun safe and if I put a razor up for long term I will rub a drop on the blade. I don't know about hard on your skin but everyone I Know wipes off a blade that has any lube on it, mineral oil, olive oil , Wd40. Tc

    I use baby oil but only when I'm shipping the razor.
