TBH, ejmo, I have embarked upon a snurdler project for the most distinguished gentlemen.
There are approximately 13 examples to be done, mother-of pearl upon sterling silver handled.
The donor dessert knives were obtained by Johnathan (Ultrasoundguy) and sent to me to do something with.
Between myself and Johnathan, the fancy snurding shall be shared.

Snurdlers, top shelf, I think! Most are off to members. BUT, since one should go to a newer member, I think you qualify. PM me your address.
    Should do the trick!

'Learning every day' I had to look up snurdler and first found this from Urban Dictionary: snurdler
    Someone who enjoys sniffing farts.
Mark farted and enjoyed the smell of it.
James says: 'That's disgusting! You snurdler!'
Refusing to believe that those little cheese knives had anything to do with farting I dug deeper....and there it was....way way out there. How posh...it's kind of like the Victorian version of SRP asked the question: I need something else to buy for my shaving ritual...what could it be? I guess I'd better make one up!

I have been bending over my apartment bathroom sink getting low back pain and trying to see what I'm doing while trying to learn to get a close SR shave. I've gotten great shaves with my safety razor and feather blades and just want to get the same result with my DOVO. So far I'm still trying only one part of my face at a time experimenting and trying to find the right cutting angle. I need to see what I'm doing as well as find the direction of growth not only by feel but by eyesight. Has anyone considered using a table top lighted magnifying mirror (1X & 10X or less)? The only "shaving mirrors" that I see online are Men's "fog proof" mirrors for shaving in the shower (not practical with a SR I would think). So I might have to buy one of those "Vanity Mirrors." meant for women. I'm single so nobody's going to know. Unless I get lucky one of these days.
Any suggestions, especially about magnification.? They have those illuminated via LED mirrors which look very good! The retail price range for these mirrors appears to be very low to very high. I even saw one with a fan!?
    Thanks very much!

What type of light do you have in your bath?

If incandescent, you can greatly increase the light by using 100watt equivalent florescent bulbs. The cork screw type are very bright.

They are a series of regular incandescent that you see along the top of the mirror in an apartment. They are clear bulbs and probably 40 watts each. That's as high a wattage as the landlord installs.
Thanks I will look into what you suggest. I think I might still pursue that mirror idea because of the low back pain from leaning over to get closer (nearsighted), that way I can sit in a chair.

My lower back gets angry too, I like my face almost on the mirror to catch individual hairs around my facial hair. Yea, I'm a little OCD about trimming it up....

I found 40 watt LED bulbs at a Large home store. They were on special at ~$12 a 4 pack. So two packs and I can get a tan while I shave! Not quite but a great wake up in the winter. Nice for shave pics also.
I had the Florescents for about 10 years before that till they started burning out. Plenty light!
    Either way you can see!
