I have a hard case Alembic, 6 razors and it don't take up much more room than a roll up. And just to be clear, if yours does get broke all of them break in a roll up, had a motorcycle go over in May, hard case was more than likely why all my ivory didn't get broke. A sack up is just good for putting it away in a drawer , which is fine, but protection, drop your razors on the concrete in that sack up and tell me how much protection it is. Tc

A roll up snugly packed in a hardcover suitcase would you all of the protection that you need.

How many straight razors are we talking about?
If it is a lot, I might still go with multiple roll ups.

Since we are talking about international travel, volume will also be a major issue.
If you want roll ups, then use roll ups.
I have yet to see a commercial suitcase that will beat a Pelican case, but they are expensive.

    So,,,,,,,,

Wrap your razors in a cloth or roll up ,, then pace the roll in a cut to length piece of PVC & cap the ends.

My travel brush rolls internationally in a piece of vented PVC.
