I use an old Craftsman machinist tool chest to store my straight collection with the little felt lined drawers. The ones in rotation are on top of a cabinet, but I'm working on some type of display shelf. I got some good ideas here. Thanks! Lou

I can't decide if I want display type storage or a felt/leather roll. Still deciding...

Not sure if this thread is still active... I'm sure most people have had this question at some point. Would make a good sticky thread. Anyways, I didn't like the idea of hiding away my razors, so I make my own wall-mounted display shelves. The shelf is recessed underneath, with magnets glued in. Works good!

It is active as long as people post! Very nice work and the shelving give s good air circulation around each razor. Also they are in plain sight to keep track of their condition.

Very nice setup. I believe Richard hung his from the tang on magnets in a glass cabinet. I can just see my daughter moving stuff so she could climb up to reach them though!

There are some interesting scales in there. Looks like you did some nice rescales as well. Did you mount all the magnets with the polarity in the same direction?

Thank you! I try to be creative with how I pin/style things.

I skimmed through this thread and saw that polarity thing mentioned— I did not. What would be the purpose of this? The razors are too far apart to repel/attract each other...

I did it to use less space between and also to keep them from being wind chimes with a window open.
No big hasta' just I built a lot of different ones.
    I still like yours!

Anyone brave enough to put magnets on the bottom of hooks and make Christmas tree ornaments?

I want to build a rack kind of like the test tube racks, but with enough room behind each blade to display razor boxes. I find the boxes interesting. You guys are some honest to goodness craftsmen.
