Just ordered one. If anyone is interested I'll report back how it works or not.

Here is the $20 travel scuttle. Not much to look at, and very light. But practical. It is ribbed on the inside of the bowl making it very easy to lather, and no matter how hot the water in the scuttle, you can hold the handle. Unbreakable. It's nice to have warm shave cream.

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements. Online. Their names for products and descriptions are hilarious. This came with its own microfibre travel pouch and a travel puck of soap. Good deal.

Note that it is plastic, so that makes it indestructible, but not as nice to look at as say an Edwin Jagger ceramic and silver bowl.
