I was thinking of picking one up and my search is pointing me to the Moss scuttle.

Shipping can be expensive, so for the US: Dirty Bird, EU: Schwarzweisskeramik. Those would be my recommendations.

G5 is very very very appealing to me right now... They have combined the best glaze (IMO), with a basin big enough to bowl lather in, and hopefully they've improved the function a bit... That's my next scuttle purchase. I've got a dirty bird now and that transfers heat like nobody's business

Find a studio (local college maybe). Inquire about classes.

    Make one.

It'll be a much better gift imho.

I can only comment on the Dirty Bird 1.5 scuttle. It serves me well. Works as an excellent lathering bowl and keeps it warm using my normal hot tap water. And it is a fine piece of pottery.

    Default Santa Wants To Know

    Gentlemen,

I have heard many good things about all the scuttles mentioned in these posts. Mine is the older version of the Georgetown, and I like it. I am sure I will like the Moss, the Dirty Bird and all the rest, too. From what I gather, each has own distinct qualities.

You wouldn't miss with any one of them.

    Regards,

    Obie
