You also want to make sure there is room for water than less between the walls of the two bowls especially under the bottom of the top bowl that holds your brush.

Does that mean more water under the bowl and less around the sides?

I definitely agree about enlarging the spout. I have a Georgetown Pottery G-5 and like the lip to keep the lather in the bowl; it also allows me to squeegee the lather from the top of the brush and reload it into the tip of the brush. I do like your handle better. The G-5's handle doesn't give you something to stabilize it when carrying it. I would suggest a flat thumb platform on the top of the handle to brace with your thumb and maybe a notch on the lower handle to brace with your middle finger when carrying/holding.
