Julie at Dirty Bird does excellent work and I have been very happy with mine. She has three sizes so there are options depending on what size brushes you prefer. I also like the fact that her scuttles seem to have a larger water reservoir than most others so the lather stays hot much longer.

+1 for Julie at Dirty Bird. An excellent product and fantastic customer service. She was prepared to customize my scuttle so it was exactly how I wanted it.

Another +1 for Dirty Bird. Just received my Brush Scuttle and Soap Bowl set last week and couldn't be happier.
Wasn't sure if I'd like dealing with three piecs (inner and outer scuttle pieces, soap bowl) verus the one piece scuttles she and the other vendors mentioned offer...
Turns I really like the flexibility it gives me in terms of the combination of face/bowl lathering and soap/cream options I can choose from on a given day. And, the deep, narrow, conical shape of the inner scuttle cup keeps the lather warm right through to the middle of the brush for well on 30 minutes using just hot tap water. Plus, if you stack the scuttle on top of the bowl it acts as a lid for the soap bowl and it doesn't take up any more counter space than the little 4" bowl I was using beforehand.
As it's the only scuttle I've owned I can't give you any personal comparisons to the other scuttles such as the Georgetown G5 or Moss scuttle but I can tell you I think it's worth the money ($32 for the scuttle, another $12 for the soap/lathering bowl).Last edited by Malacoda; 01-27-2010 at 01:47 PM.
