Anyone remember this ?
A flashback to the '70s . You screwed the cartridge of shave cream into the brush base , then turned the knob on the bottom , and the shave cream came out of a tube onto the polyester brush .

Anyone Remember This?
Hello, dave5225:
How fascinating. Something about that brush rings a little bell. I might have seen something similar to it way back when.
Listen, with a brush like that, who needs a silver tip and a Castle Forbes shave cream?
Thanks for providing the picture. Fascinating, indeed.
Regards,
Obie

Thanked: 55Yep! I actually had one too. I gave up in it because it was unwieldy and the cartridges were expensive to replace (for a teenager). And as an aside it was launched in the 80's and died quickly thereafter. I did like the scent of the shave soap very much though. It had a lavendery sandalwood type thing going on if I'm remembering right. I actually got one off of ebay a few years back just to smell that scent again. I thought, at the time, that it smelled vaguely like Floris' No. 89.
I don't recall whether the lather was any good though. I'm thinking it wasn't because I stuck with my staple method at the time which was Noxzema. Mom tossed the brush after I moved out.
Regards,
EL

I bought it new , sometime in the early '70s . I found it in my dresser drawer , and now it's part of my vintage shaving brush collection LOL .
I just saw elbonators post , so I guess I bought it in the early '80s . I'm 55 so you have to give me a break , it was a while back .Last edited by dave5225; 02-11-2010 at 12:44 PM.

That's a really unique product...
...but I think I'll stick with my TGQ soap and badger brush!
