    Default Traveling with a mug

Just wondering how everyone else travels with their mug and soap. I just leave the soap in the mug and build my lather in the mug and leave it there. May not be the proper way but seems to work with me.

Now, the mug I have was given to me by my mom which was her dads mug so I am not too confident I can travel with it without breaking it.

I am just curious and up for suggestions. I suppose I will pick up another mug made of plastic or so...

I found this one handy for traveling. It doesn't have a ton of room to make lather, but enough. And it's got a lid.I think it was this one:

Is there a particular reason you'd only use a soap, or would you consider cream as well? Cream works pretty well just lathering on the face in a pinch, or in a glass, or even in the palm of your hand. For that versatility alone, cream is all I take with me when I travel.

    Just a thought.

    Hello, PWillis:

You can buy plastic containers with lids from Mama Bear or metal containers with lids from Bull Goose. They both work well for soap. Lather on your face and you're all set.

Or you can simply recycle an empty plastic travel size Proraso shaving soap/cream container and fill it with your favorite shaving cream.

    I do...Works quite well.

When I travel I bring a Proraso soap.

I use a little tupperware container, like the kind you use to hold a single serving of salad dressing. I grate the soap with a cheese grater & pack it into the container, because the container is the wrong size. Snap the lid on & go.

Yep a plastic mug. tin cup or inexpensive kitchen storage container
makes sense for the travel kit.
