Don't mean to be a kill-joy but, on the pipe picture, the pipes are supposed to be placed the other way-round... sorry. The reason is simple. That position may bruise the finish on the pipes and if they are placed with the stems up the dry out better. Just a note.
Very cool stands, by the way - and a brilliant way of using those items. Thanks for sharing!

    3. With pipes (its original purpose--had to take the pipes to get the rack)

Note: you have to be sure that the holes on top are wide enough to accomodate your razors. Some aren't. I have a couple of other pipe racks:
    1. Another in oak (holds 10)

    2. Another in walnut (humidor in middle)

    LOL!!!

Guess you'd believe me if I told you I don't smoke. It's pretty clear I don't know which end is up!

I had to take the pipes to get the stand.

I needed something that held more than one razor and couldn't find anything anywhere. Somebody is making some real nice brush stands for me out of coconut shells. The guy who is selling stands for both in the classifieds over here might get a lot of business.

Another case of necessity being the mother of invention.

I saw a pipe holder like that yesterday and thought of buying it to I like how you can store the soaps in the jar. I ended up getting a DE razor instead.
If you still have the pipes and don't want them I'd be Happy to give them a good home.
To the original poster great find. I look through Target and other similar stores all the time and that is a perfect holder with the slots being so big at the top. Most have tiny holes. Also Target sells nice Jars with lids that have a seal on the top if you have a lot of humidity to worry about look for one tall enough and wide enough to fit the hole holder inside of. You can even put moisture absorbing material in the bottom first to really protect your blades.
The kitchen section also has some great mugs for shaving mugs.

Outstanding find! I'll probably be picking up the one with the antique glass, as you have shown. Thanks for sharing it with the community!
