i purchased my artist club razor from classic shaving and i try to purchase from them whenever i can.. as i'm a loyalist.. i will only stray if there is a must better price otherwhere or if it's simply not offered by classic.. a great retailer and highly recommended in my book..

also.. is otherwhere a word?.. i think it has a good ring to it.. sounds a bit more regal than elsewhere..

i have the silver wing and as some one mentioned they can be a little pain to hone as in getting the right edge and smooth edge . once you do they are A1 and the edge last well with good stroping

They are a class act and very nice, and easy, to deal with. I purchase some of my items from them...

ummm.. i'm trying to order a whetstone from them, and i'm on the "payment methods" page. it says if you want to pay by money order (which i do) print this page and send along with payment to --------------- but then underneath that, and also on another page, it says if i want to pay via money order i need to submit it by email. so i clicked the link and its just for credit cards. i dont know what to do? i mean i'm not stupid or anything, it's just confusing.

My opinion is that Classic Shaving.com is a good place to shop. I just bought a very nice Dovo 5/8 Buffalo Horn there, and it came pre-honed, shave-ready. You can order razors honed or not, your choice. Razor came very sharp, and on time. I have also used their sharpening service before on other razors, no complaints.

I know you said you are new to the forum. Are you new to straights? If so, that's kind of an expensive starter razor. I only say that because beginners often have accidents (like dropping them or dinging them against the sink) with their first razors.
