    Default ClassicShaving.com

    Hey, i'm new to this forum, and i was just wondering if anyone here has shopped at ClassicShaving.com? is it a trustworthy site or not? i'm thinking of buying the Thiers Issard Limited Edition Silverwing 5/8ths from them, so i'm just wondering if thats a good choice. also, has anyone shaved with a silverwing, is it good? and do ClassicShaving razors come shave ready?

    Classicshaving is a good site. I haven't checked it out in a bit. It used to offer a honing service per fee.

    It'll probably show up pretty sharp if you pay for it being honed. Enough that you'll be okay with a strop. Still, if you are new, most dulling occurs after the first shave and stropping (because it's done wrong) and not becase of the honing.

    I don't recall ever using those razors. I have a preference for Dovo myself. Should be a good blade though.

    Did you see this portion of the site?

    Hello, MortuusCruor;

    Classic Shaving is a fine site. I have bought many items from them, including several Thiers-Issard razors. They are good people.

    Regards,
    Obie

    I have made numerous purchases from classicshaving, they are great folks. Beverly will do whatever she can to help you out. I have bought everything from strops to a Harner and Zowada razor from them.

    I have one of the original Silverwings. If you get it make sure you get it professionally honed. The one I had did not come that way and it can be a real bear to hone. Once honed properly it's a great shaver.

    Classic Shaving was the original on line shaving gear site and the original owner who has passed away was a member here. It's a great place to buy.
