Schwarzweisskeramikwonder!
So after reading about scuttles until I got tears in my eyes I finally found what I really wanted. A totally handmade scuttle with a beautiful design, perfect finish, large water reservoir and suitable for a very large shaving brush. The Schwarzweisskeramik XL scuttle is a HUGE scuttle, but it is easily used anyway because of the large 4 finger grip. If you want additional support you can put your other hand under the genious "brush basin".
The SW weighed in at 1,2 kilos empty and 2 kilos excactly filled with water. Compared to my old Georgetown 4, this is really a monster when it comes to delivering warm lather. I understand why, because the GT took 0,15 liters of water - the SW XL takes 0,8 liters. 5 times more water than the Georgetown scuttle. So my new favorite shaving item delivers wonderful warm lather for a full 20 minute shave even with hot tap water only. (If you prewarm it a few minutes while brushing your teeth or take a shover).
The design is imo beautiful, the finish is excellent, the overall quality seems outstanding and the new owner, me is just happy! This is a King in the scuttle world, and paying 89 Euros including shipping is actually quite cheap when what you receive a week later is a piece of art made by a German pottery master!
Take a look at my new pride in the bathroom

You are quite right, this is THE scuttle to have IMO.
After I bought my Large in white a few months back, the others got retired.
It will serve you wonderfully for years to come.Bjoernar

Yes it's a great scuttle. I have the LE edition he came out with a few months ago. I do think it's the ultimate scuttle.

Thanked: 240Wow that is huge now you just need a bigger straight to go with it! Something in the 8/8 wedge range should do nicely as the razor in the picture looks miniscule next to that bucket you are refering to as a scuttle.
