Don't think that didn't cross my mind.

But the door is too close to the shower. I was afraid of mist and overspray.

Thank you - and yes it is worth overdoing. I don't suspect I'd be shaving with a straight razor if that were not the case

Let me know if you want any dimensions to make this yourself.

The previous rack is on the left near the mirror. The expansion is above the closet door.

I used the same basic design, but longer to span the door frame, and widened the shelf at the top. It holds 58 razors, and the previous one holds 30. There is plenty of room on the top shelf for spare supplies.

The whole thing is made from red oak and the back is oak veneer plywood. It awaits a pickled oak finish and two coats of polyurethane.

I have a 12ft ceiling in my bathroom, but even still, all razors get a light coat of oil for protection from the humidity. And, actually, this may be a good location for guys that want to keep the razors from their children.

BTW - my wife has a small step stool in the closet that I use to access my stock. The idea is to place a current rotation in the smaller rack by the sink, and then the rest get stored in the rack above the door.

The downside is now SWMBO can see my stock. In fact, I think the day this rack is filled, a process server automatically comes to the door and presents me with divorce papers
I have a little less than the bottom row of your new razor wing...and I got the papers earlier this year...

Nice set-up, nice collection. You could probably make some coin selling them units! I could use one in my bathroom, but like you said about the wife.....

I now have something to aspire too. Thank you for the share! How long did it take you to get that many straights?
