Shaving Den Expansion
Well - it appears my RAD knows no bounds and I needed to expand the shaving den.
The previous rack is on the left near the mirror. The expansion is above the closet door.
I used the same basic design, but longer to span the door frame, and widened the shelf at the top. It holds 58 razors, and the previous one holds 30. There is plenty of room on the top shelf for spare supplies.
The whole thing is made from red oak and the back is oak veneer plywood. It awaits a pickled oak finish and two coats of polyurethane.
I have a 12ft ceiling in my bathroom, but even still, all razors get a light coat of oil for protection from the humidity. And, actually, this may be a good location for guys that want to keep the razors from their children.
BTW - my wife has a small step stool in the closet that I use to access my stock. The idea is to place a current rotation in the smaller rack by the sink, and then the rest get stored in the rack above the door.
The downside is now SWMBO can see my stock. In fact, I think the day this rack is filled, a process server automatically comes to the door and presents me with divorce papers

I think your wife should probably have the papers drawn up now so that they can be served in a timely manner!

Only room for 12 more razors, better start working on a shelf to go over the other door.
