Thanked: 33I'll admit it I'm aDicted. So it's my day off today and I'm going to go sling (sell) some rocks (cleaned up safety razors) on the bay(ebay). Then I'll spend some time with SHMBO at the antique mall, so I can feed the MONKEY. Man, I need some help.
"Hello, my name is David and I have a razor problem."

First of all I'd like to say sorry.
I didn't write this post to offend or make it seem like I was judging you all.
I'm the last person who should talk about addiction and the likes because like most of you when I find something I like I dive right in.
Now I only wrote this post because I've been seeing alot of post lately of people saying they bought six or seven razors and I hope my wife doesn't find out or something along those lines. Which in turn made me think of some posts I've seen on here and other sites about the swmbo getting annoyed and just leaving. Leaving the person to sell off their collection to fend for themselves.
Now like I said I don't want to offend or upset anyone and I'm sorry that I did. I just thought it would share my thoughts on what I see. Like I said what I see might not be what you see. And in the end we are all gentlemen here and in the end we can agree to disagree.Shaving_story on Instagram

Lol well it's the beauty of the net. Have I been serious all this time?
Have I merely been bored at work and trying to poke fun at our hobby to pass the time?
We will just never know!Shaving_story on Instagram

It seems like I did.
In all reality I was just gonna end up writing a post saying stop buying all the razors so I could lol.
But the line about the wife thing was something I have seen before which got me thinking.
While I may kid and joke about our little addiction, perhaps it is true that some people take it too far?Shaving_story on Instagram

Thanked: 1936I think we all know that anything can be taken too far and for you Basil, whether you were making a pun or being thoughtful & caring...it all comes down to what has been mentioned before: All (for as much as I know) of us are adults and should have the the mental capacity to know when to quit or slow down...if we don't, we were going to have problems no matter if it is shaving equipment or (insert hobby here). It's a good post...as long as you know that I DON"T HAVE A PROBLEM!!!

We are not addicted here on SRP a quote from the movie Half Baked proves it. The actor tells the audience he is addicted to pot and the reply from the Cocaine addict IMO sets the bar for what constitutes an addiction. So unless your trading BJ's for SR's your fine and have no problems.
The MovieWavs Page - Half Baked: have_you.wav
Cocaine Addict: "You ever su#$ed some d%&k for marijuana?"
Thurgood: "No, no I can't say that I have."
