Dang... those look good, Robert! Got an item # for the hooks by chance?

    Pardon my reflection
    Good idea!
Once again, I recommend that the door open from the top to swing downward level with the counter top or floor and have a chain so it opens only to 90º. Then a dropped or mismanaged blade may just drop a few inches and be stopped by the door, rather than than the finger biting try to catch it. That has saved my bacon a few times!

Like the closed cabinet approach over the open displays I have seen on this thread. I wondered how those who put all their razors out on shelves deal with the moisture problems? Coat with baby oil or something?

Don't have a shave den. Not likely to in the future. But here is my area. It is shared with my wife, who, unlike most women, is not so enamoured of makeup and things like that. Nor does she need it. So, as long as I don't seem to take the whole place over, I'm good to go. One plus is that I have a huge mirror. Love that.
I have only been SR shaving for a bout a week. I have wet shaved for a long time, but eschewed things like cologne, etc. The most I would use is a bit of aftershave if I were going somewhere where it was appropriate. Most times I just smeared canned goop on my face and scraped it off with a cheap razor. So all of the "toiletries" are those that were given to me over the years by well meaning relatives around Christmas time. They have been laying around in various places until I started SR shaving, when I finally found a use for them.

From left to right we have my Boker SS St Louis SR. Was my father in law's before me.

Next is my Gillette D/E. Also my father in law's. Actually a Lady Gillette, in blue. Love this razor.

Following those are my styptic pen, VDH soap bowl, and my brush/lather bowl, which is just a large soup cup(I think) that we had laying around the kitchen not being used. Works great.
VDH brush that came with the "Premium" kit, and some VDH Select soap that I bought at the local RiteAid. The little blue and green VDH soap bowl has the "deluxe" soap in it, which I like a lot. Miles above anything in a can. But I have not gotten around to using the Select soap yet. Hopefully it will be a good choice. It was available.
Then, of course, Halston deodorant. The little yellow bottle next to it is British Sterling cologne, and behind that, in the little brown bottle is Halston AS. Behind that and to the left is Swiss Army Eau de Toilette, which I assume is like a body spray or cologne. Not up on the jargon, lol. To the right of that is Swiss Army AS Balm. I actually like that pretty well. And finally, behind that is a bottle of Aloe Vera gel, which is actually what I use for an AS Balm now.
Like i said, most of the smelly stuff I did not personally choose, it was gifted to me by folk who didn't know what else to buy me for Christmas, lol.
I plan to take Mrs. SRNewb with me and we will look through all the AS, cologne, etc., until we find a couple that turn her crank, and that'll be what I end up using. i could fall back on my old favorite, Old Spice, and I probably will purchase some of that. But IMO the "smelly stuff" is more for her benefit(and therefore mine ).
Just a beginner, and my "stash" will never equal some of yours. But I'm really enjoying all of this, and that's the point, I think.
