Anybody Else Get a FusionProGlide in the Mail?
I received a free Fusion ProGlide with 1 cartridge in a sample box in my mail today, along with some coupons for blades and accessories (of course). it's a smart-looking, substantial-feeling razor, and I look forward to trying it in the morning. Then I looked at the price of replacement blades, and wow!
At about $3 per cartridge on-line, I won't be replacing them. I think I'll just stick to my SuperSpeed, or occasionally my Gillette Sensor (which has always given me good shaves) for quick week-day morning shaves.
I may give it to my wife if she'll promise not to buy any replacement blades!

I get weeks of great shaves out of one of those cartridges and, amortized that way, they're not all that bad.

I've had them go months with proper care. I generally use a straight, but these work great.

Thanked: 1195I haven't received the Proglide in the mail, but a few years ago I got a similar sample (razor + 1 blade) of the regular Fusion. I tried it out and liked the shave, but found that the blade dulled quicker than a Mach III, literally only a couple shaves. I never had much luck with cartridge longevity, a few shaves and my beard seems to tear them to shreds. Anyway, same thing happened to me, I thought about buying replacement cartridges, took one look at the price and said forget it.
For the record this was before I picked up a straight or DE, so my recollection about the shave quality is likely skewed.....

I saw a commercial on TV claming they last 5 weeks didn't say how many time it was used a week. I never had any luck with them any more than 1 maybe 2 shaves per cartridge

Thanked: 247Not a Proglide, but if my memory serves, they sent me a Mach3 about 17 years ago. Oh all the stones I could have bought with that cartridge money....

Anyone find it at all coincidental that they started doing more razor-related searches and received one in the mail?

I think they shave alrigth... The problem I get is a faster five o'clock shadow. If I use a st8 iI don't get noticable shadow. if I use a DE, i get a slight shadow, if I use a disposable then the shadow is really noticable. They are nice to throw in your gym bag if you are going to have a long day...
