Today the barber's chair was delivered to my "vintage" home (dating 1932)
I've cleaned the chair in order to keep this "vintage touch" and the good patina :
you know what ? ...I'm happy, my wife doesn't love the chair too mutch (but she doesn't love antics item either..too bad...i'm his husband ! just have to do with that)

It's cast "patentado" spanish for "patented", this explain the ratan : it's a spanish chair made under triumph licence, and the ratan it's just what you need for a southern country !
This chair doesn't not have the hydraulic lift, and never had one.

That is quite possibly the nicest, beautifully ornate barber chair I have ever seen.

Barber Chair overhaul
Seeking information on the Chicago-made chairs. Mine is from the 30's methinks.
I need to clean up the hydraulics and need to know where to start yanking it apart.
or i'll part it out. but i'd rather fix it. (it worked when it was "parked")
