Al Hirschfeld, the Broadway caricaturist, preferred to do his work in a barbers chair. It is now on display in the The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

This is an old pic but here is mine. It is a more modern model that I bought while at a computer show. I live in it. I recovered the seat in leather and have enough to do the rest. I just can't get out of it long enough to finish it. It's in a temporary home so I haven't finished the whole computer area. That is my excuse and I'm sticking to it. I did replace the antique monitor with another 32" and a better side table . That is where I am at right now :<0)

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I also had a boss while working at an Industrial Design firm that had one and had his stuff, tables, and supplies arraigned around it to be able to be easily reached from it.
I had one and when I went out of town on a sales trip...My, soon to be, ex sold it and some of my other stuff!
Cheap at half the price... for sure!

When I saw the thread title "This is a piece of equipment we all need..." I thought you were referring to scissors, that way we could all cut up our credit cards to stop us from buying more shaving gear.

Nice stuff, but no good shaving gear that I could find.

Here is my Greinder barber chair. During college I got hold on two of these chairs. A few years later I restaurated the best and the other as donor chair. I only mis the original headrest. I replace the original orange sky to real orange leather. It comes with a ashtray inside the armrest. Comfore is awsome and I do sit a lot in it.
