    Default Straight Storage

After trying to find suitable storage for a large collection (~ 500 straights and 50 DEs), I happened upon this map storage cabinet. Ikea sells a CD/DVD holder in gray plastic which perfectly fits almost any size straight. Each CD panel holds about 70 razors. I can safely store over 2,000, so I have some buying to do!

Very cool. I love the "shavers" on top too. :-)

From my childhood, I remember toothbrush sales displays in a Lazy Susan-like display. These displays hold about 100 razors in two rows. I ran into one at a flea market some time ago, and bought it for $40. It is absolutely perfect for organizing straight razors. And, until now I was quite proud of my ingenuity...

Thanks for giving me a good case of inferiority!

ALL of them pass the HHT. I have had about 10 failures, either because they were too far gone to develop a decent edge or the steel was junk. But all of the others are shavers.

That's an elegant and efficient system you have there!

This makes me think, would an old Library Dewey Decimal cabinet work also?
