    I think that we are seeing the same thing. I think that if we put them together "loose" and allow themselves to seat together or match each other before tension is applied they would compliment each other. I am talking thousandths of an inch.

    What should I use as a lubricant for the blades? There is blade lube on Oster's website for about $3 but anywhere I look to actually buy the stuff has it for around $20 :/

    I would think that any light machine oil would work. But if you want the Oster stuff look at your local or online pet supply. I am sure it is the same stuff and much cheaper.

    I'll look around some more and hopefully find something.

    Strangely enough, the blades are already VERY sharp, and I haven't even cleaned them up on a hone yet.
    There is literally ZERO pulling at all...so maybe I lucked out and got a pair in really good shape?
    They cut surprisingly well...all I have to really do is make them look nice and get rid of some rust spots on the handles.
    Not bad for $15 with shipping lol
