Thanked: 6Funny you should mention that. I keep a silica packet in the far left compartment thats made. The silica pack sits below the tang. I also use that space to keep spare felt shims in the event I acquire a new razor that is too thin to fit in the slot
Not at all, if it's good enough for people to copy, it means I'm doing the right thing! I was thinking of making a few extras for gifts to friends etc, maybe I should put one up in the classifiedsLast edited by fchan; 01-11-2013 at 10:00 PM.

Thanked: 270I really like your craftsmanship, especially your provision for the non-folding razor.

I'm glad I found this thread! Keeping my razors in Crown Royal bags is no longer an answer for me. I hit a friend up who works at an athletic supply place for a piece of foam the other day, looks the same as what you have used, and ordered some empty cigar boxes from Pipes and Cigars with my last order of pipe tobacco. We'll see what damage I can do!! Thanks for giving me something to go by!!

I'm thinking of copying your boxes, where did you get the felt?
Just sayin...
