Tried a new one this morning. Muehle Body Lotion. Very nice stuff. Not too oily feeling and a good soft fragrance.

    Have fun

Marvis toothpastes. Harris coconut and Harris lemon shampoos. Taylor roll on deoderant in sandalwood. Harris dry skin cream. And an Aquis white towel which is the perfect towell for a straight shaver since I rinse the blade and then dry it as I shave. These towels make wiping a wet blade to a fraction below the edge a piece of cake.

Two bath soaps that have impressed me lately are Grandpas pine tar soap and L'Occitane soap with verbena leaves. The pine tar soap has a strong scent that gradually fades. It cleans well, doesn't leave a film, and seems to help clear rashes.
The L'Occitane soap works well and has an incredible sweet scent. I had a bar of almond soap by them once that was even better. The thing that I like most about the pine tar and verbena soaps is that they do not have that sickly, artificial aroma that plagues some scented soaps.

I am just starting out straight razor shaving and spent a lot of time looking at shave creams and soaps online. While looking at shaving products I drifted into bath products offered by some of the big names. Really want to try out some of D.R. Harris and Geo Trumper bath products now!

I've always liked my Greek-sourced realy sponges, but now I seem to have a collection of them!

Furthermore, I now stick with the Dermalogica brand for face wash, moisturiser, pre-shave scrub and cleanser. Good stuff and just what my face needs when I'm not shaving.

Lol, I just ordered Marvis Toothpaste from SRD because of this topic. After reading the replies, I figured what the hell might as well give it a try. Lol

Since I was a kid I loved natural sponges. Here is an old pic a small sponge:

I also love soaps. Every kind of soaps. Both expensive and inexpensive.
Lately I prefer to create my own soaps with the melt n’ pour method which is really easy.

Here is a photo of two soaps I made last weekend:

First a Sulphur soap which deeply cleans my face and regulates my dermatitis seborrheic.
And the second is a Rosemary soap which is very good for my body.
However, my favorite soaps are the triple milled soaps.

Recently, and with the aid of a sweet girl, I made my first attempts to make my own aftershave balsams.
I bought some good quality unrefined shea butter and unrefined cocoa butter directly from Africa and unrefined mango butter from India.

This is a very dense “heavy duty” cream which I call “Slurbalm-1”.
Mango butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, grape seed oil and camomile:

This is a lighter version of the precious one. I call it “Slurbalm-2”:

And this is a more equilibrated version, a consistency closer to Slurbalm-2 but with higher skin-repairing properties. It is made with shea butter and it is called "Slurbalm-3 of course :

I also like hammam related products and especially pesthemals. These are very light towels that can be made by linen, cotton, silk, bamboo or mixed fibers. I really like them and have a dozen of them. I use them in every day’s shower, after the use of a normal towel.
Here is an old photo with a small face peshtemal made by cotton. You can see also the hammam tas which is this red copper bowl which I use during the summer as a shaving bowl:

I admire that you are making your own products Slur. Good stuff.

I have seen your bowl in Shave of the Day. Is it ceramic?

Wow-Awesome work, Slur-I'd love to try that rosemary soap, and the balms sound much better than storebought.
