Thanked: 4942Other Products
Don't know about you guys, but it seems I have been trying a ton of other products that are not shaving products as a result of my AD's with shaving creams, shaving soaps, after shaves, cologne's and straight razors etc. Didn't know where to put this thread, but I am interested in what other products you are using as a result of getting into wetshaving.
I have been using the DR Harris roll-on antiperspirant/deodorant, Jack Black facial scrub and shower gel, Mitchell's Wool Fat hand soap, Marvis toothpastes, Kent tooth brushes and a ton of other stuff.
Even though all this stuff might be a little more expensive than the products I used to get at Walmart or Walgreens, I have found that I really enjoy the different fragrances and how well these products work for me.
Any one else trying any of these other products?
Keep this thread alive by posting new stuff as you try it.

I use marvis toothpaste and love it. I also use a shampoo called regenepure that is great! I have to order it though as it is a niche product and cannot be found everywhere. do to my newfound love of wet shaving I have started using a lot of different products that I normally would not have used in the past.

For me, a nice discovery was a liquid lanolin. A book on cosmetic chemistry said nothing was close to the benefit of lanolin, so when I found one I wrote the company to scrutinize my way through the marketing language on the packaging, confirming there's nothing in it but pure lanolin. When I asked how it could then be liquid, they explained the solid form is solid 'cause of natural wax-like esters. Steam was used to separate out the wax, leaving just the liquid. "Now Solutions" sells the 4oz bottle through the Gucci stores for about $10.
NOW Foods - Liquid Lanolin 100% Pure - 4 oz
A single drop is mixed w/ a dab of aloe gel and a shea butter. Haven't found anything close in leaving the skin moist and soft all day.

Thanked: 20I have been using Clubman shampoo and Marvis toothpaste for some time now. I really like the Licorice. Lately I have been into artisan soaps - I just received a 1600g block of Savon de Marsielles (old-school olive oil soap) and am really digging it.

Marvis toothpastes. Harris coconut and Harris lemon shampoos. Taylor roll on deoderant in sandalwood. Harris dry skin cream. And an Aquis white towel which is the perfect towell for a straight shaver since I rinse the blade and then dry it as I shave. These towels make wiping a wet blade to a fraction below the edge a piece of cake.

No. Straight razors appeal to the minimalist side of me. Unless you are talking about another hone!

I am a big fan of jack black pit boss antiperspirant, I love the scent and it is the most effective antiperspirant I have used.
I use natural toothpaste made by Green Beaver with a natural bristle toothbrush by kohi-noor. I find natural bristle toothbrushes clean so much better.
For soaps, I am a minimalist and use a Greek Olive oil soap for both hair and body.
As for hair styling, imperial pomade is my product of choice.
