Now really, Tarkus! This is your "bug out" bag and never used! I have been trying to get you to visit Texas for a while!
Where the hell do you go? (KIDDING!)
Seriously, I wish I had snagged every one of those old shaving dopps. I saw lots go by the wayside!

"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
    I rest my case.

Actually it does get used but as far as Houston Texas is concerned? If I wanted to endure heat like your state has, Id just as well wait till I'm called upon to go to the greater state we call Hell. And yes I will be going there, and yes I'll have my dopp kit in tow. Maybe with a few extras such as tanning lotion and breath mints for the party.

This is what I usually take with me now. The DE is omitted if I go by air and a cheap $1.00 twin bladed disposable with replacement heads is substituted. The rest includes a Muhle synthetic travel brush, Arko stick in a vintage Williams tube, the alum crystal deoderant stick does double duty as both post shave and deo, dollar store travel toothbrush and the DE with spare blades and styptic pencil are in an old eye glass case.

I didn't take a strop, but I'd take my little Dovo strop if I was going away for more than two days and it wasn't just camping...
Carl, that's the simplest kit I've ever seen. I love the "double duty" Proraso lid idea.

Nice simple kit with Alum stick doing double duty. Keeps the number of items down to a minimum. Great idea.
